About Us

The Cowichan Musical Society (hereafter called CMS) has been bringing highest quality amateur musical theatre to the Cowichan Valley since 1982. We present an annual offering, generally alternating between operetta and Broadway musicals. Our mandate is the preservation of live musical theatre, keeping it alive for a generation who grew up with it; and introducing and encouraging a new generation to the wonders of the stage and choral work. We are always interested in new members; so come join us and enjoy the camaraderie and fun of staging a full-scale theatrical production. It's a great way to meet folks.

Our performances take place in the Cowichan Community Centre Theatre, a fully functional professional facility which will seat 731 patrons. CMS is fortunate in having such a place to stage its productions.

Tickets - The Cowichan Musical Society, in conjunction with the Island Savings Centre, operates a voucher system, which reduces the price of tickets to our show by $5. Vouchers are purchased from Cowichan Musical Society members. Purchasers then take their vouchers to the Island Savings Centre box office, where they are able to select the seats they would like, as well as the performance they would like to attend. The box office then issues tickets for the requested seats and the requested performance. For further information, call Sue Elo at (250) 882-8879.
